Jacob Winans

American experimental musician working primarily in harsh noise and sound art, he releases records on labels including No Rent Records, Flag Day Recordings, and Industrial Coast. His approach blends digital sampling and synthesis with what he describes as an old-school tape noise sensibility inflected by glitchy computer processing. Notable releases include Halcyon Days (2024) and There's Something in the Backyard. As part of the duo ACID with musician Imaad Wasif, he records using rewired keyboards, detuned guitars, and home-built instruments, including an amplified two-by-four, releasing through Narnack Records.
