Iván Edeza

Iván Edeza (b. 11 February 1967, Mexico City) is a Mexican artist who has worked primarily with video since the 1990s. He pays close attention to the aural dimensions of his work, integrating industrial or experimental music, minimal processing of ambient sound, and strategic use of silence alongside the images captured by his camera. His practice treats sound not as illustration but as a compositional layer equal in weight to the visual — creating works in which acoustic and cinematic space inform one another. Edeza has participated in Mexican and international experimental art contexts, contributing to ongoing conversations about the intersections of image, sound, and perception.
