Intersystems
Intersystems was a Canadian multimedia collective active in Toronto from 1967 to 1969, consisting of John Mills-Cockell, Blake Parker, Michael Hayden, and Mick Stott. They combined electronics, light, performance, and poetry in events that were among the most ambitious multimedia works in North American experimental culture of the late 1960s. Their recordings, including Number One (1968), are extraordinary early examples of psychedelic electronics and avant-garde music. They were rediscovered decades after their original limited release and are now recognized as important pioneers of Canadian experimental culture.
