Incapacitants

Incapacitants is a Japanese noise duo formed in the late 1980s by Toshiji Mikawa and Fumio Kosakai, both of whom are reportedly government employees who have maintained their day jobs throughout their musical career. Their performances and recordings — on labels including Public Bath — are among the most extreme in harsh noise, combining pure white noise, feedback, and electronic overload into relentless, overwhelming events. They are revered within the global harsh noise community for their total commitment to intensity and their consistency over three decades.
