Iku Sakan

Born in Osaka, Iku Sakan is an electronic musician and DJ now based in Berlin. He spent his early years performing in clubs across Osaka and Kyoto before relocating to Berlin in 2009, where he gradually moved from dance music toward acoustic improvisation and avant-garde electronics. His music blends hypnotic rhythms, glassy modulations, and field recordings drawn from handbuilt synthesizer rigs. He collaborated with Muneomi Senju of The Boredoms in the unit Sakan and Senju, personally handing a copy of their work to Karlheinz Stockhausen during his final festival visit to Tokyo.
