Héctor Rey

Héctor Rey is a noise musician, composer, and visual artist from Bilbao, Basque Country. He began formal music study at age five, growing up in a household where his father — himself a committed music lover — took him to concerts and surrounded him with jazz and classical music. He began recording experimental and noise music in 2006, developing a parallel practice in sculpture. He works as a composer, improviser, and performer of both his own pieces and those of other composers, and is the owner of the Nueni record label.
