Hannah Kemp-Welch

Hannah Kemp-Welch is a London-based sound artist whose socially engaged practice treats listening as a form of knowledge and collective art-making. Her approach grew from years in learning and engagement roles at Tate, the National Gallery, London Metropolitan Archives and youth music charity Raw Material. In 2020 she received the Art in the Archive Bursary from the Women's Art Library and Feminist Review, producing Voicing the Archive from recordings made with fellow archive visitors and broadcast on Resonance FM. She is now undertaking an AHRC-funded PhD, Listening With: Practices for Community-Based Art, at CRiSAP, London College of Communication.
