Guillermo Santamarina

Born in Mexico City in 1957, he has been a defining figure in Mexican curatorial practice since 1981, with more than 300 exhibitions organised for public and private institutions in Mexico and internationally. He directed the Ex Teresa Arte Actual Museum and Experimental Museum El Eco, programming international festivals of action art and sound art, and later served as curatorial coordinator at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo at UNAM. He has taught museum studies and arts theory at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas and written extensively as a critic. His recent projects include major international art and football exhibitions at Museo Jumex.
