Gideon Kiers

Independent filmmaker, musician, software programmer, and co-founder of the Dutch experimental collective Telcosystems, which he formed with David Kiers and Lucas van der Velden. He studied interaction design at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht and image and sound at the Royal Conservatoire and Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Telcosystems creates immersive audiovisual installations, films, and live performances that explore the interaction between technology and machine behaviour. The collective has presented work at Transmediale, Sonar, IFFR, Oberhausen, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, SXSW, and STRP Biennale.
