GG Allin

Born Jesus Christ Allin in Lancaster, New Hampshire on 29 August 1956, he adopted the name GG and became the most notorious live performer in American punk: slashing himself with glass, fighting audience members, and defecating onstage, earning multiple arrests and a 1989 prison sentence for assault. Beginning with the Jabbers in the late 1970s, he led various backing bands before settling with the Murder Junkies, who recorded the album Brutality and Bloodshed for All in April 1993. GG Allin died of a heroin overdose in New York City on 28 June 1993, hours after what proved to be his final concert.
