Gay Death

Gay Death is the power electronics project of Austin, Texas musician Geoffrey Hardman, released via his label Industrial Tape Dispenser, built from Doepfer and Behringer synthesizers, tape recorders and disgust-soaked vocals. Since the 2021 debut mixtape Deathful, the project has issued a steady stream of tapes and digital releases, including Know Your Place and Counterspell, channeling the traumas of gay life in the American Bible Belt through harsh, vintage-toned electronics indebted to Whitehouse but sharpened with dark wit. Gay Death also performs live, at times expanding to a duo with Spencer Airheart, bringing extreme electronics and harsh noise to noise-festival stages.
