Gangpol und Mit

Gangpol und Mit are a French duo formed in Bordeaux in 2000, comprising Renaud Pion and Sébastien Mingam. Working with obsolete game hardware — Game Boy, Atari ST, NES — alongside acoustic instruments and voice, they developed a childlike, absurdist electronic pop that draws on chiptune aesthetics, experimental composition, and comedy. Their albums, including Cracker Mash (2010) and extensive Bandcamp and cassette releases, are characterised by dense layering, playful dissonance, and an irreverence toward both electronic music conventions and the nostalgia culture around vintage game technology.
