Gabber Modus Operandi

Born from a shared obsession with high-velocity sound, this Bali-based duo of DJ Kasimyn and MC Ican Harem collides gabber, footwork, and grindcore with Indonesian forms including jathilan trance dance, dangdut koplo, and funkot. Their debut album Puxxximaxxx (2018) on Yes No Wave Music was followed by Hoxxxya (2019), both quickly becoming international dancefloor references. In 2022, Kasimyn collaborated with Björk on her album Fossora after she discovered their music during pandemic lockdown. The project remains one of the most distinctive voices bridging Southeast Asian club culture with global experimental electronic music.
