FUJI||||||||TA is the project of Yosuke Fujita, a Japanese sound artist active since 2006 whose practice centers on handmade instruments and immersive acoustic environments. In 2009 he constructed a pipe organ with only eleven pipes and no keyboard, powered by a blacksmith air pump called a fuigo and inspired by gagaku music. The instrument has no fixed pitch relations and evokes natural landscapes. He has performed with Yamantaka Eye of Boredoms, Keiji Haino, and Akio Suzuki. His 2020 album iki on Hallow Ground presented four long works for the organ. KOMORI documented the organ inside a cave at Mount Fuji alongside bats. His 2021 album NOISEEM uses amplified water as instrument.
