Four Tet

Four Tet is the alias of Kieran Hebden (born 1977), a London-based producer and DJ. Beginning on Domino Records in the late 1990s with records including Rounds (2003) and Everything Ecstatic (2005), Hebden developed a style of textured, sample-based electronica drawing on jazz, folk, and electronic sources into intricate, warmly organic compositions. Over time his practice expanded toward longer, more hypnotic dance music, releases on Text Records, and prolific DJ activity that connects his work to contemporary club culture without abandoning the intimacy of his earlier records. He has collaborated extensively with Flying Lotus, Burial, Actress, and others.
