Fernando Vigueras
Fernando Vigueras is a Mexican guitarist, improviser, and sound artist based in Mexico City whose practice centers on experimental approaches to the guitar and free improvisation, questioning the objectual nature of instruments and exploring concrete forms of sound production. He holds a degree in guitar and an MA in Interpretation from UNAM's Facultad de Música, and is a member of Generación Espontánea and the ensemble Cuatro Minimal. He curated the festival Articulaciones del silencio at UNAM's Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo. His collaborators include Carmina Escobar and Ute Wassermann, and his work probes the boundary between instrument, object, and sound.
