Fernand Vandenbogaerde

Fernand Vandenbogaerde (born 1939) is a Belgian composer and music educator whose work developed in the orbit of the GRM and the European electroacoustic tradition. He composed electroacoustic and mixed works in France from the 1960s and contributed to the development of music education in Belgium. His compositions engage with the transformation of acoustic sound through studio technique, and he participated in the broader European new music community that formed around the GRM and IRCAM in the second half of the twentieth century.
