Fennesz
Christian Fennesz (b. 25 December 1962, Vienna) is an Austrian guitarist and electronic musician whose work processes guitar through laptop computers to produce layered, melodic textures at the boundary of glitch and ambient music. His debut full-length Hotel Paral.lel appeared on Editions Mego in 1997, and his 2001 album Endless Summer brought him wide recognition for its luminous blending of Beach Boys melody with treated electronics. The 2004 follow-up Venice extended his approach into more atmospheric territory. He has collaborated with Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Sylvian, and others, and remains one of the most influential figures in post-digital guitar music.
