Felix Blume

Born in Narbonne, France in 1984, Félix Blume studied sound in Toulouse and at the INSAS in Brussels before settling into a practice split between Mexico and the French countryside. Over more than two decades he has worked extensively across Latin America, documenting sonic environments in collaboration with local communities and using public space as a site for experimentation. His project Los Gritos de México, built from the shouts of street vendors, won the Pierre Schaeffer prize at Phonurgia Nova in Paris and an honourable mention at the Bienal de Radio in Mexico City. His work spans sound pieces, video, and installation.
