Family Ravine

Family Ravine is a project of Kevin Cahill, a Canadian musician based in Toronto where he established the Power Moves series of labels and released music under numerous aliases. Under the Family Ravine name, Cahill works across free folk, experimental songwriting, and avant-garde improvisation. Albums including Horizonites and Wet Lands Dry Me draw on bluegrass, folk, and more abstract traditions, operating at both intimate and expansive scales. He also released Away and Instinct on the Round Bale Recordings imprint. His work shifts between the microscopic detail of quiet acoustic moments and broader, more chaotic sonic fields, rooted in the landscapes and musical communities of Ontario.
