Erik Luebs

Erik Luebs is a US-born musician and sound designer based in Osaka, Japan. Working at the intersection of techno and modular synthesis, he approaches dance music with a disruptive sensibility, building patches from scratch and employing labyrinthine sequencing techniques informed by artists like Mark Fell and Rrose. His labor-intensive process yields unconventional rhythmic structures that remain tied to the floor while resisting genre conventions. Luebs releases work independently via Bandcamp and on labels including The Bunker New York. He also runs Perfect Touch, a boutique label and events project, and performs at DJ Nobu's Future Terror parties in Japan.
