Eric Mattson

Founder of Montreal's ORAL_records, he has directed the label since 1994 with a sustained focus on sound exploration and experimental composition. He is also a founding member of Le Bloc ORAL, a collective of artists, musicians, and curators working across sound, kinetic art, and media distribution. As a curator his engagements have included MUTEK from 2000 to 2006 and the Media Lounge of the FCMM since 1998, as well as experimental music events produced in Quebec and internationally since 2001. ORAL_records has released and commissioned works by Éliane Radigue, Toshimaru Nakamura, Aki Onda, and Akio Suzuki, among others.
