Eric Laska

Philadelphia-based sound artist and musician Eric Laska works primarily in sound installation and performance, with a practice that centres on language, voice, and the conventions of song. His work has been presented at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center in New York, Machine Project in Los Angeles, Ausland in Berlin, and MACO in Oaxaca, as well as through online platforms including Gauss PDF and Ear Wave Event. In 2024 he released Original Songs, a record of vocals, electric guitar, and bass. His writing and sound work both operate at the edges of intelligibility and address the slippage between meaning and sound.
