Eran Sachs

Jerusalem and Jaffa-based composer, improviser, and sound artist Eran Sachs came to electronics through an unusual path: trained classically, then introduced to signal theory during his service with the IDF Electronic Intelligence unit in the mid-1990s. He has played the no-input mixer since 1998, developing it as his primary instrument. He graduated from the Hebrew University in psychology and philosophy in 2005 and holds an MFA from Bard College. He co-curates Primate Arena, a nomadic platform for experimental music running since 2008, and has released work on Sub-Rosa and Mille Plateaux, collaborating with Oren Ambarchi, Thomas Köner, and Stephen O'Malley.
