Émilie Mouchous

Born in Tarbes, France in 1984, Émilie Mouchous lives and works in Montreal, where she has presented programming at CKUT Radio since 2008. She holds a master's degree in electroacoustic composition from the Université de Montréal and builds her own electronics, working primarily through no-input technique and what she terms mouth feedback. Her practice encompasses free improvisation, sound installation, radiophonic work, and web art, often incorporating absurdist everyday objects. She is a member of the trio Dead Squirrels and the collective Kohlenstoff Records, and her work has received awards in Canada and internationally.
