Elias Rønnenfelt

Elias Bender Rønnenfelt is a Danish singer, songwriter and poet from Copenhagen, best known as frontman of Iceage, which he co-founded in 2008. Iceage's debut New Brigade (2011) arrived as raw, teenage punk, and the band has since widened into rock steeped in Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen across You're Nothing, Plowing Into the Field of Love, Beyondless and Seek Shelter. A fib told to secure a compilation slot birthed his other outlet, Marching Church, which grew from solo experiments into a full band exploring soulful, theatrical songwriting. In 2024 he released his first true solo album, Heavy Glory, recorded in Copenhagen with Dean Blunt among others.
