Éliane Radigue

Éliane Radigue (b. 1932, Paris) is a French composer whose career of over fifty years has unfolded across three distinct but related phases. In her early period (1968–1971), she worked with feedback and reinjection at the Studio d'Essai of French Radio, producing tape works from the sounds of the equipment itself. From 1971 to 2001, she worked with the ARP 2500 synthesizer to create three decades of slow, deeply meditative electronic compositions — works of extraordinary patience and sonic richness, including the ADNOS trilogy and the major work Trilogie de la Mort.
