Eli Kezler

Eli Kezler is a New York-based percussionist and composer working at the intersection of free improvisation, contemporary composition, and electronics. His practice explores percussion as a vehicle for textural and temporal investigation rather than rhythmic convention, often working with preparations, extended technique, and live electronics. He has released music on NNA Tapes, Northern Spy, and other independent labels, and collaborates widely in the New York experimental music community. His work is informed by his engagement with both the downtown improvisation tradition and more rigorously composed contemporary music.
