edIT (Edward Ma, born 1980) is a Los Angeles-based electronic producer and member of The Glitch Mob. Working in glitch-hop and experimental hip-hop production, he developed a dense, highly processed sound characterised by intricate drum programming and elaborate sample manipulation. His solo album Crying Over Pros for No Reason (2007) and his work within The Glitch Mob — a trio also comprising Ooah and Boreta — brought his approach to large festival audiences. The Glitch Mob's debut Drink the Sea (2010) was a commercial and critical success that helped define a strain of cinematic, maximalist glitch-influenced electronic music.
