Eb.er Sonna

Rudolf Eb.er is a Swiss artist and de/composer born in 1967 in Zürich and based in Osaka, working under various monikers including Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck, which he operated from 1989 to 2009. A founding figure of Schimpfluch Gruppe — formed in Zürich in 1987 alongside Joke Lanz and Dave Phillips — his practice combines psychoacoustic noise, body-based performance, and close-field recordings of nature and decay. His releases appear on labels including PAN, iDEAL, Entr'acte, Harbinger Sound, and Tochnit Aleph. He describes his work as ritualistic actionism aimed at traversing the traumatic depths of human experience.
