Doreen Kutzke

German performance artist, singer, composer, and vocal teacher who grew up in the Harz Mountains and began yodelling in early childhood, later rediscovering it in her twenties while bartending and DJing in Berlin. She founded Jodelschule Kreuzberg and has taught yodelling and advanced vocal techniques internationally, including at the Art Academy Reykjavik, Goldsmiths University London, and the Berlin University of the Arts. Her practice merges yodelling with performance art, dub step, and country music. Collaborators include Hermann Nitsch, Column One, Myriam Van Imschoot, and Raionbashi. She held a residency at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles in 2018.
