Dino Sabatini

Dino Sabatini is an Italian producer and a key architect of the Rome techno scene, splitting time between Rome and Berlin. He built a catalogue on labels including Prologue, Stroboscopic Artefacts and Sonic Groove, from the Daughters of Phorcys EPs (2010) to the concept album Shaman's Path (2012). He also records as one half of Modern Heads and has traded remixes with Claudio PRC, Donato Dozzy and Shapednoise. His own label, Outis, borrows its name from the Odyssey: the false identity, meaning "no one," that Odysseus gives the cyclops Polyphemus. Sabatini's tracks stay hypnotic and atmospheric, threading modern synthesis through older currents of myth.
