D'Incise

Born Laurent Peter in Geneva in 1983, he grew up between dub sound systems and experimental electronic music before beginning to produce in 2002, moving from dub and electronica toward electroacoustic practice. He uses whatever can be considered an instrument—software, field recordings, objects, percussions, harmonium—and builds specific setups for each context, whether composed or improvised. His work tends toward radicalism, reductionism, and obsessive slow processes. He has collaborated long-term with drummer Cyril Bondi in the duo Diatribes and the quartet Karst, and released music on Gruenrekorder and Moving Furniture Records, among others.
