Dimitri Morozov

Moscow-based transdisciplinary artist and engineer born in 1986 who works as ::vtol::, creating robotic instruments, noise machines, and interactive installations that link emergent systems with technological synthesis. His practice centres on circuit bending—deliberately bringing microcircuits to extreme and unconventional operating modes. Works include a robotic dulcimer that reads brainwaves via EEG headset, a device converting encoded tattoos to noise, a twelve-arm robotic installation conducted by hand gestures, and Volnovod, a motor-driven wire sculpture evoking Soviet space technology. His work has been recognised at Ars Electronica and exhibited internationally.
