Deena Abdelwahed

Deena Abdelwahed is a Tunisian DJ, producer, and artist based in Tunis and Paris. Working at the intersection of club music, noise, and North African traditions, her productions draw on dakka, gnawa, and chaabi rhythms while deploying distorted bass weights and abrasive textures. Her debut album Khonnar (2018) on InFiné was one of the most critically noted records of that year, praised for its political energy and sonic originality. A frequent performer at Berghain and CTM, she is a key voice in a generation rethinking the relationship between Arabic musical heritage and contemporary electronic music.
