Deathprod

Deathprod is the alias of Helge Sten (born 1965), a Norwegian electronic musician, sound artist, and producer based in Oslo. Working with electronics, tape, and digital processing, he constructs slow, physically overwhelming sound environments that sit at the intersection of drone, dark ambient, and electro-acoustic composition. His defining release Treetop Drive (1994) and the later Morals and Dogma (2004) on Rune Grammofon are among the most uncompromising records in the Scandinavian experimental catalogue. He is also a member of Supersilent and has been a key figure in the Oslo experimental scene since the early 1990s, producing and mixing records by numerous Norwegian artists.
