D.Dan
Born in Chicago and raised between Seoul and Seattle, the Berlin-based DJ and producer began making electronic music at thirteen, first as Fugal before the D.Dan project emerged as a more spontaneous outlet. A visit to Berghain in 2013 redirected his trajectory toward underground techno; he subsequently relocated to Berlin, where he became a resident of Mala Junta, one of the city's fiercest underground parties connecting 1990s rave energy with queer community culture. His releases on Lobster Theremin, Arsenik, Amniote Editions, and KAOS mix slamming funky techno with slippery psychedelia and spitting acid lines.
