Dat Politics

Dat Politics is a French electronic duo comprising Gaël Segalen and Claude Eveno, based in Paris, releasing on Chicks on Speed's Chicks on Speed Records and later Tigerbeat6. Their music combines hyperactive IDM, electro, and digital pop with a cheerfully chaotic energy — fractured rhythms, cartoon textures, and an exuberance that distinguished them from the more austere European electronic mainstream of the early 2000s. Albums including Plugs Plus (2000) and Tracasseur (2002) were well-regarded in experimental and independent electronic circles for their originality and infectious energy.
