Dafna Naphtali
Israeli-American vocalist and electronic musician based in New York, she has been composing and performing electroacoustic music since the mid-1990s using custom Max/MSP programming to process voice and instruments in real time. A faculty member at NYU Steinhardt, she has taught music technology and electronic music performance for over two decades. Collaborators include Luis Tabuenca, Chuck Bettis, and Ras Moshe Burnett. Her multi-channel Audio Chandelier works have been presented across the US, Europe, India, Russia, and the Middle East. A 2023 Guggenheim Fellow in Music Composition, she is also a three-time recipient of grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts.
