D.A.F.

D.A.F. (Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft) was a German electronic duo formed in Düsseldorf in 1978, comprising vocalist Gabi Delgado-López and drummer/synthesiser player Robert Görl. Their stripped-down combination of aggressive percussion, minimal synth bass, and confrontational vocals — drawing on both industrial and early electronic dance music — produced albums including Alles Ist Gut (1981) and Gold und Liebe (1981) on Virgin. Their influence on EBM, techno, and body music was decisive. The duo reunited periodically across subsequent decades; Delgado-López died in 2020.
