Contagious Orgasm

Contagious Orgasm is a Japanese noise and industrial project formed by Shinya Iwanaga in Osaka in 1989. Working within Japan's prolific noise underground, the project has produced an enormous body of work across cassettes, CDs, and vinyl, ranging from harsh noise and power electronics to more textural and ambient approaches. Releases have appeared on labels including Ant-Zen, Malignant, and the artist's own channels. A long-running project of sustained intensity and variation, Contagious Orgasm remains an active presence in the international noise community and is one of the more prolific Japanese noise projects of its generation.
