Colin Cudmore

Colin Cudmore is a Toronto-based experimental percussionist, improviser and performance artist who treats everyday objects — spring coils, dustpans, scrap metal — as extended drum kits. He performs solo under the alias _53d8ZxP and in collaborative improvisation as %%30%30, and is a member of the trio Triptych alongside Kristina Guison and Colby Richardson. Cudmore co-founded Ministry of Phonic Services, a Toronto label and events organizer building a platform for local experimental musicians, and has presented work at Electric Eclectics, The Music Gallery and outdoor sites including Trillium Park. He also writes an oral history of Toronto's experimental sound scene.
