Colin Benders

Born in Utrecht in 1986, this Dutch musician first came to prominence as Kyteman, fronting The Kyteman Orchestra whose debut The Hermit Sessions reached the Dutch top five in 2009 and sold over 75,000 copies. After the orchestra disbanded around 2012, he turned fully to modular synthesis, building an elaborate Eurorack-based system with which he performs live techno and improvised electronic music. He live-streams marathon jam sessions via Twitch and YouTube, inviting audiences to interact with and influence the patch in real time. He trained as a trumpet player at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
