CoH

CoH is the alias of Russian-born, Berlin-based musician Ivan Pavlov. Working from the 1990s onward with analogue and digital synthesis, he developed a practice of precise, highly formulated electronic composition that draws on Russian mathematical traditions, techno, and noise. Releases on Raster-Noton and Editions Mego include Strings (2006), PLAY (2007), and a series of collaborations including COH + Cosey Fanni Tutti (2009). His approach to structure and tonal precision distinguishes him within the Berlin experimental scene. He also records under other aliases and has collaborated with Mika Vainio, Cosey Fanni Tutti, and others.
