CNDSD

Mexico City-based artist and musician Malitzin Cortes, who works under the alias CNDSD, trained in architecture at UNAM before developing a multidisciplinary practice spanning live coding, generative synthesis, 3D animation, expanded cinema, and sound design. Her live coding sets use TidalCycles to generate emotionally complex, post-cinematic electronic music. She has performed at MUTEK, Sónar Istanbul, ZKM, and Ars Electronica, and teaches and researches at CENTRO University and UNAM. Her album In Tongues draws on live-coded performances to produce raw and textured electronic tracks.
