Clément Vercelletto

Clément Vercelletto is a French musician, composer, and stage director born in 1981 in Lyon. He trained in clarinet, then Malinké percussion and African traditional music at the ENM Villeurbanne, followed by electroacoustic composition at CRR Lyon. His practice connects club music and avant-garde composition — as in the Kaumwald project — and extends into work with choreographers and stage directors. He teaches at ENSAV Lacambre in Brussels and is associated with French music research centres GRAME, GMEM, and GMEA. His album L'Engoulevent was composed on a small electronic organ whose pipes were replaced by bird calls via custom MIDI controller.
