Christof Migone
Swiss-born and Canada-raised sound artist and writer who works with the voice, noise, the body, and endurance as artistic materials. He obtained an MFA from NSCAD and a PhD from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, and is currently an Associate Professor of Visual Arts at the University of Western Ontario. His audio pieces home in on eye movement, cracking joints, and other incidental sonic matter outside communicative clarity. He co-edited Writing Aloud: The Sonics of Language (2001) and published Sonic Somatic: Performances of the Unsound Body in 2012.
