Christian Skjødt
Christian Skjødt is a Danish artist and composer based in Copenhagen, working at the intersection of sound, visual art and science. He holds a master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, completed in 2009, and builds site-specific installations where technical experiments generate immersive sonic environments.
He founded Tonometer, a vinyl imprint for exploratory sound and music. His 2017 installation ÆTER uses copper loop antennas and analogue circuitry to capture ambient electromagnetic waves, converting them into low-frequency audio in homage to Léon Theremin's invention, and his work has been recognised internationally, including by Prix Ars Electronica.
