Chima Isaaro

Chima Isaaro is a Lisbon-based DJ, formerly performing as Chimahiro, whose sets move fluidly through techno, house, disco, soul, batida and jazz with an instinct for groove built from years of record collecting. Raised around the collection of her musicologist father, she took up a residency on the online station Radio Quântica in 2016 after moving to Lisbon, and has since become a fixture of the city's dance scene, co-founding the female-led party Club CCC. Beyond DJing she works as a film and music producer and researcher, and co-created Revolutionary Dreamscapes, a nomadic space for sound, ritual and Black healing, celebrating the Black origins of house and techno.
