Carlos Prieto Acevedo

Mexico City-based researcher, curator, and sound artist who studied philosophy and aesthetics at UNAM, where he is completing doctoral work. His practice examines the archive and its relationship to modernity through radio art and sound installation, including the 25-episode documentary 1978, the Year We Live in Danger for Radio UNAM and the headphone intervention Radiograms of Modernity for the Museo Nacional de Arte. He co-founded the platform OPE3RA with Mario de Vega and curated Constellations of the Audio Machine in Mexico, shown in Germany in 2017.
